SEE: Model Boats Regatta at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington on Sunday 9am-5pm. They also host model boat evenings that W and I like to stop by on our lakeside walks. Some of these boats are more equipped than ours! More info at: Burlington Downtown. Photo from: Burlingtondowntown.ca
WATCH: The romantically adorable short film 90 Days created by Bicyclette Boutique and Kolab Cinema. I love the styling throughout this film and how you can steal the look by simply hitting up Bicyclette Boutique right on Queen Street West in Toronto.
DO: Pick your own fruits and veggies! Nothing says summer like supporting local farmers and spending sometime in an orchard or farm picking tasty food to munch on later. The HarvestOntario website is an awesome tool for finding out where to go and what’s in season.
EAT: on a budget. This month many local restaurants are offering fantastic dishes via price fix menus. Head to downtown Burly for some tasty eats – It’s Taste of Burlington season. Click here to see what restaurants are participating. Not close by? Check out the Toronto restaurants participating in Summerlicious this year.
ATTEND: The Queen’s Plate at Woodbine Racetrack and watch the horses. There might not be any of the royal family in attendance but it should make for a fun day. More info here. Wondering what to wear? Seems like FASHION magazine has that covered. Click here for their fashionable picks. And lastly, the tune that is stuck in my head from writing this post: Hollerado “Good Day at the Races”
