I’m a big fan of the current trend of mixing texture when styling. For minimal folks, like me, it adds a whole other realm of outfit possibilities. The latest emphasis on leather had me looking through my closet for a skirt that was passed along to me way back when. What I love most about this skirt is the pocket detailing and the cut of the skirt. It’s tricky to see but this suede skirt actually has seams that run down from the pockets – awesome, right? While, I’m definitely antsy to be caught in a rainstorm in this skirt, I certainly I’m not afraid of cold with its fall-friendly weight. I couldn’t think of anything more fitting then to wear this skirt than with a cozy, bright plaid flannel. This flannel has got to be one of my favourite articles of clothing in my closet. Not only has this piece taken me from campfire to work, it’s also done so with a certain cheeriness that I just can’t resist. What’s your favourite way to wear plaid these days?

Advice: I’m debating bringing up the length of this skirt to just below or just above the knee. What are your thoughts s e t t i n gSAIL readers?
