Happy Monday all!
This weekend I threw together a quick touch of fall for our front door and it was such an easy project! To make this wreath I used a grapevine wreath (~$4 at Michaels), burlap and some faux fall leaves from the LDS (local dollar store). Grapevine wreaths are in season right about now and you can even fashion one yourself if you have some grape vines at your disposal. To fashion this wreath I cut long strips of burlap (about the length of a place mat) and single-knotted them around the side of the wreath. I left the ends as is and made sure to tie the strips next to each other, to cover the wreath. Next, I cut my bundle of faux leaves so that I had individual wired pieces and randomly slid them under the knots so that they were to my liking. Et viola! An easy, and beautiful fall wreath with a #DIYburlap touch.
Have you checked out how Angie (from HashtagRandom) styled her wreath yet? Check her’s out here and don’t forget to link your #DIYburlap project on instagram using the #DIYburlap hashtag and the settingSAIL handle: @settingsailblog on instagram. I’d love to see what burlap projects you’ve been up to 🙂
