The countdown it on! Less then one week to Christmas and I’m sure you’re busy heading to all those festive holiday parties. Wondering what to wear? Tiffany (Piper Dixon Blog), Danielle (Kanielemegumi Blog), Zunera (Zunera & Serena Blog) and Meghan (Playing with Patterns) are sharing their festive holiday party outfits here today, so that you can stand out more then the Christmas Tree (in the best possible way). What I love the most is that each outfit has knockout pieces that can be paired with other items in your closet to maximize your holiday wardrobe. Welcome to this Holiday Blogger Style post on…
Camisole – Nordstrom | Blazer – H&M (similar) | Pants – Forever 21 (Mine are sold out, these are similar) | Heels – Sold out, but these are cute | Necklace – J.Crew (Old, but this one would also work) | Earrings – J. Crew | Rings – Forever 21 – 1, 2
Outfit Yep, that’s right…SEQUINS! A different take on the classic sequin dress is to go for some sequin pants. I absolutely love these pants from Forever 21 (and they’re comfortable too!). I paired them with this classic bright white blazer from H&M and a black camisole. Can you see the impeccable detail on this jacket? You can really find hidden gems at H&M and Forever 21 if you’re patient enough to go digging. I finished the look with a pop of color with my ankle strap heels from Express.
Jewelry Since we’re going all out with sequins, why not keep it going with some bling around your neck and on your ears! As Coco Chanel said, “Costume jewelry is not made to give women an aura of wealth, but to make them beautiful.” Stacks of gold rings is also a great idea for a festive look.
Makeup I tend to always wear very minimal makeup. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE makeup and playing around with it. But with this outfit I decided not to go overboard with my makeup. My everyday go to look is exactly what you see here – Tinted moisturizer (this one is the BEST), powder (my favorite is this one), blush (this one is my holy grail), mascara (currently I use this) and lip gloss (this is what I used today)
Hair Soft waves is the way to go! I created this do using an inch and a half barrel curling wand. It’s so easy to do
Well that does it! Enjoy and have fun at all those fancy shmancy festive holiday parties! Merry Christmas!
It’s nice to have the fairy-tale princess outfit in the back of your mind, and at this moment this is mine. Incorporating some shimmer and sparkle can transform your outfit into a sophisticated, yet fun look all at the same time. Everything in this outfit can be purchased for under $100, so it’s not totally over budget, especially if you’re interested in investing in a beautiful piece. I would one hundred percent wear this to a holiday party, unless it was less formal and/or an ugly sweater contest. The Coast Tressi Full Skirt is so fun because it’s the ballerina skirt, but for grown-ups and the TOPSHOP Front Cross Embellishment Bralet is the glam that you need to be the eye candy of the party. These have to be my favorite two pieces of this outfit, hands down.
Happy Thursday Fashion-nina’s! I am in love with the latest hologram trend. I have seen it done beautifully in shoes and bags it was a little bit challenging to find one in a dress; till I laid my eyes on this beautiful piece. The neoprene fabric with pleats added beautiful volume below the waist and the thickness of the fabric helped create a flattering shape. The look was definitely a challenge to pull off because I wanted to make it look like a practical dress that can be worn to a holiday party. I kept the rest of the look very simple with my hair tied in a not so sleek pony tail and minimal accessories. Actually the only accessory this dress needs is a strong personality!
I thought about adding metallic shoes or a hologram bag but then decided to go with suede and my LV bag to keep things simple & practical.
I love holiday theme parties. It is a great opportunity to dress up and break away from your everyday 9-5 look. Love it or hate it, “ugly” sweater parties are one of the most popular holiday get-togethers. If you can’t borrow an old sweater from your mom, don’t worry because many stores have their own line of affordable ugly sweaters to chose from.
