the slouchy summer hobo bag {Buy or DIY}

Last year, in preparation for the summer I sewed up my own version of the 4 hour slouchy hobo bag tutorial by Flamingo Toes to cover all of my poolside and beach grazing plans and could not have found a more durable and chic on-the-go tote.  With the hot weather now here I’m excited to break out this staple piece from my closet again. For my version of this tutorial I opted to use a heavy, metallic drapery fabric and a simple black cotton for the lining paired with a black based metallic zipper.  I also decided on a black leather strap, created from a vintage belt and some stamp clips from Michaels. Lastly, I added a few inside pouches to hold my keys and other small extras so they wouldn’t get lost in the depths of the bag.  Et viola!
