How to style Silk Shorts for day to night

For daytime: spice up your easy silk shorts with a loose tank or tee and a comfortable pair of sandals. This outfit is perfect for hitting up the farmers market, grabbing a coffee with a girlfriend or even for  a day trip.

The change up: swap your footwear for something more feminine like a pair of your favourite sandaled heels. Consider holding onto your cross-body bag and wearing it over your shoulder.

For evening: With cool summer nights be sure to add a layer.  A knit blazer is the perfect combination of comfort, warmth and added structure. Consider also throwing in a piece of jewelry, like a statement necklace or chunky bracelet, to add to your outfit.

For so many summers I somehow managed to avoid shorts. It’s true! Between working during the day and turning to skirts, dresses, and pants for the most part I was able to last a summer with a mere 2 pairs of shorts! Please tell me I’m not alone here! So this summer I decided to make a change and invest in a few pairs of shorts, especially during the recent (and ongoing) summer sales. Enter these easy-to-wear silk shorts. Not only do I love the lightweight, no wrinkle quality to them, I also love how they seem to work for numerous outings. As photographed here, I’m a big fan of wearing them with a simple tank and flat sandals during the day and simply throwing on a blazer or sweater with heels or wedged for the evening. I’ve also even worn them to the beach! The perfect summer travelling companion indeed!

Check out these silk short options below (so many sales on now!) and stay tuned for a DIY silk short tutorial this week on the blog!
