Happy Friday all! Here’s hoping you’ve enjoyed an awesome work week thus far.  I’m finally starting to get in the hang of this summer-time business and I’m not complaining about all of the extra energy the warm sunshine seems to bring.  In addition to extra energy, I’m finding that I’m more inspired and creative these days – you too?  I’m looking forward to sharing about some of the DIY projects I’ve been up to in addition to all of the room make-over action that has been happening over here.  That being said, this weekend it’s all about relaxing for this girl.  I’m excited to be hitting up one of our provincial parks for a weekend of camping with family. I hope you have a good one too!

Here are your weekend links:

Speaking of room makeovers – check out this awesome bathroom makeover on Poppytalk. I just love the classic black and white palette and all of those gold accents.

Searching for more summer style inspiration? Check out the J.Crew August lookbook here for ideas for styling outfits for work and play.

I’m still looking for affordable additions to amp up our new spaces. This coffee/side table DIY is a project on my radar.

Speaking on DIY projects, this scarf dress tutorial from StyleSlicker has me on the look out for a pair of large silk scarfs. Please do share in the comments below if you find some!

With the chaos of the summer I’ve been finding that I’m growing more and more lazy in the kitchen. I’m hoping to integrate some of these tasty kale recipes into our repertoire.  Do you have any summertime recipe favourites?

Have you visited Blake Lively’s new website/blog Preserve yet?

I’m looking forward to painting the front of our place this summer and I’m totally inspired by this front door transformation from hashtagRandom.

Is it weird for me to admit that there are some articles of clothing that I hard time justifying buying because I know I can refashion/make them? Of course it takes a combination of trial and error but crop tops are one of those items. Therefore, this DIY crop top tutorial from The Felted Fox just made the top of my to-do sewing list.

A great read on ways to make your home less sophisticated found here, on Domaine.

I hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend all!
