Sounding Spaces: Accent Chairs

When it comes to adding personality to a room, it can be challenging to do so with moderation and on a budget.  How many times have you heard to invest in neutral, “timeless” pieces when making big furniture buys?  Therefore, when it comes to amping up your space with character, smaller scale buys – like chairs and artwork, are the perfect place to branch out from neutral territory.  I love the idea of blush pink chairs against a bold, dark wall (as photographed above) or a punch of green in an otherwise white kitchen dining area (like below).

chairsI love this turquoise, velveteen chair for its modern colouring and traditional undertone, especially in thinking about our gray palette at home. Oh, and this red lounge chair would be perfect in an office or living space. How perfect would either this hunter green or grape purple chair be in an otherwise beige space too? 1. Pink , yuk! I’m a girl and I don’t like them, cause they look cheap.I think one has to be very daring to select pink and yet get the look you want. Couldn’t you find pink in something more substantial and stay on budget? I love the green selection, They look magnificent in that space.

    1. Girl or guy, pink might not be your favourite, but the minimal design of these chairs definitely complements the tone of the room well. I agree with you about those green chairs – they’ve pretty awesome. Thanks sharing Janice. Happy Wednesday!
